Some of you may have noticed that most of my review scores are fairly
high. I want to reassure you that this is not a result of generous
reviewing and would like to reiterate the goal of my editorial reviews:
to provide an honest opinion of a game.

I remember admitting before that I am biased, but only towards good
games. This bias is reflected in my videogame purchases as well. Thus,
my reviews are high because I only review games that are in my
personal collection and that I have played through. In other words,
since I only buy and play good games it is only natural to have good
reviews.

Don't worry though, once I have finished playing and replaying all of my
good games I'm sure I'll find the opportunity to play some mediocre
ones as well just so I can post some mediocre reviews.

Here is an explanation that should give you a general idea about what
my scores actually mean. Anything above a 95 is an absolute must-own
game (you have no choice; you have to buy it):

100:
Flawless -- this game is a masterpiece and you need to own it.

99-90:
Superb -- this game excels in all areas and unless you hate having fun it
should be a part of your collection.

89-80:
Very Good -- a game that most gamers will enjoy; a few minor flaws.

79-70:
Above-average -- a game that die-hard fans may still enjoy but may be
uninteresting to the average gamer and has some obvious problems.

69-60:
Average -- a game that has serious issues that detract from the overall
experience. The average gamer usually will not enjoy it.

59-50:
Poor -- the cons in this game far outweigh the pros, resulting in a game
that simply put, is just not fun.

49-40:
Bad -- this game is plagued with problems and should be avoided
(unless you enjoy disappointment).

39-30:
Horrible -- this game is almost as much fun as stepping on a tack.

29-20:
Coaster -- the only possible salvation for this worthless game is to
serve as a coaster.

19-10:
Worthless -- this game is so abysmal that it cannot even serve as a
paperweight because it would be an embarrassment to put on your
desk.

9-0:
Why? Why would anyone release this game? Isn't there enough pain
and suffering in the world already?
