Today I realized that there are many unfortunate people in this world.
First and foremost are those that are not Segaholics. Actually, there
are those that are yet even more unfortunate: those who do not even
know what a Segaholic is.

Hence the purpose of this rant---to inform the ignorant of what a
Segaholic is, why you should be one, and why you should read what
this particular Segaholic has to say.

It is difficult for me to provide a one sentence definition of what a
Segaholic is, but in a world where brevity is both appreciated and
admired I feel I should at least try. Simply speaking, a Segaholic is a
person who is addicted and obsessed with all things Sega. However, I
feel I need to separate the negative connotation usually associated
with the suffix -holic, for Segaholism is most definitely a positive
addiction. Sure, there is little doubt that Segaholism will lead to
severed relationships with friends and family members and may lead
to financial stress, but who really needs a friend or new car when you
have eight videogame systems and 150 games to play.

In fact, Segaholism will actually help you separate your true friends---
other Segaholics who will play multiplayer games with you for
eighteen hours every day---from your enemies---anyone who attempts
to prevent you from playing videogames. And if anyone tries to
counsel you on financial stability, simply explain to them that you are
not wasting your money; you are investing it into a "fun" bank. Yes,
that's right, having a respectable Sega collection is like putting money
into a glorified bank account. All the money you have spent on those
mint condition rares will maintain their value as long as you do not
ruin them (This is why we must never throw our videogame items.
Take anger-management classes if you must; whatever needs to be
done to protect your investment. Treat those rares as if they were
your first-born).

Becoming a Segaholic will allow you to experience everything that the
greatest videogame company in the history of the world has created
for you. So, now that you know what a Segaholic is and why you
should become one, let me explain why you should read what I have to
say:

Besides being incredibly intelligent and breathtakingly good-looking, I
am also biased (and modest. I swear!). Now, I know what you are
thinking: "What? He is admitting that he is biased." Yes, I admit that I
am biased, but only towards quality gaming. Some of you will agree
with my opinions, some of you won't. Either way I would love to hear
your comments; so I encourage you all to send a response to my
writings, whether you love them or you hate them. I'll rant, you rave
